This Weekend the very lovely (and Irish) Gail from Hoopspin.co.uk is hosting the Manchester Hoop Congress. Although I am not attending the daytime portion of the event I did go along to the evening spin jam and teacher showcase. I think this is the Third or fourth year of this event (I am sure someone will correct me) which was started in a time when there was not many options for hoopers in the UK. Gemma Goddard of Dreadsnhoops.com had only recently started the UK Hoop Gathering Project Which was the first hoop festival in the UK.
