Tonight I went to the city center to join in with my long time friends at the Traveling Light Circus for their regular pratice session. Since it was quite cold we decided to have ourselves a fire session.

This Weekend the very lovely (and Irish) Gail from Hoopspin.co.uk is hosting the Manchester Hoop Congress. Although I am not attending the daytime portion of the event I did go along to the evening spin jam and teacher showcase. I think this is the Third or fourth year of this event (I am sure someone will correct me) which was started in a time when there was not many options for hoopers in the UK. Gemma Goddard of Dreadsnhoops.com had only recently started the UK Hoop Gathering Project Which was the first hoop festival in the UK.

For many years now I have been performing with the Illuminaughty crew, I think my first event was the Illuminaughty 4th birthday back when it was at "The Zoo" nightclub. They put on the best psy trance night Mancehster has ever seen. They have fantastic decor, amazing, production values and every event gets bigger and bigger. These days they have settled at a new home, Manchester University Students Union and what a great night it was.

Just recently the lovely ladies of Rockahula (https://www.facebook.com/RockahulaUK)Nic and Julie asked me to perform with them at a new national event called Cirque du Soul (https://www.facebook.com/CirqueDuSoul), this first one is in Leeds and now onto the second night in Nottingham.. I am very excited to be working with these girls, they are both very lovely and very skillfull.

This event was really special, topping the last event selling out and moving to a bigger venue.... The people of Nottingham really brought it, and most people dressed up. Even the queue outside was a banging party!!!!! Inside was even better.
